Kawhi Leonard said today that he wants no part of San Antonio which shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone the way the Kawai situation was handled this year by the organization. You think the Fultz fake shoulder injury was weird as fuck? Think again…. The Kawhi Leonard injury was kind of a blessing to the Sixers. It took a lot of light off the Fultz thing and focused the NBA twitter/news towards an actual NBA superstar and ultimately leads to Leonards demise in the heralded Spurs organization.

The stars are aligning AGAIN in the Sixers weird cult universe. The Sixers desperately need a vet star to show this team how to win. This year was more than anyone expected but the bottom line was, we were too young without that veteran to “take over” the game. Embiid and Simmons are extremely green. They did all they could this year but fell a bit short of the extreme expectations set on them going into the playoffs riding a 16 game win streak.

Enter Kawhi Leonard and the Brett Brown connection. Other than Lebron James, Kawhi Leonard is honestly the best option for the Sixers to pursue. I’m on the “fuck lebron” bandwagon, always have been, don’t get me wrong, he is the best player to ever suit up but taking on an older Lebron James on the tail end of his career isn’t something these budding stars like Embiid and Simmons need taking all the spotlight and taking the ball out of their hands. Kawhi Leonard actually wants to play defense and is one of the best lock down defenders in the NBA, contrary to Lebron completely giving up on D a lot and “saving his energy.” There is nobody in the NBA that would fit with the Sixers more than Kawhi. Brett Brown for people who don’t know, has been in the Spurs organization for a long time before taking the Sixers Head Coaching job a while back. Brown has a very good relationship with people involved with the Spurs still. Brown’s connection with Kawai could be the turning point on where Kawhi wants to go, and honestly i think its the most perfect fit of anywhere in the NBA.

The package the Sixers would have to offer, in my eyes, isn’t actually damaging this team whatsoever. The Sixers would have to give up this years #10 lottery pick, Markelle Fultz (last years #1 pick, WHO ISN’T A BUST), Robert Covington and a future 1st round pick.

Giving up Fultz is a must. I LOVE Fultz but giving him up for a player already established as a fucking beast is a must. Fultz is going to be a great player in this league, i fully believe that. Trading Covington is a given. Kawhi is the glorified idea of what cult Sixers fans want Covington to be.  They both and great on the defensive end, Kawai’s 3 point shooting isn’t what Covington’s is, but he makes up for it in a trillion other ways. Giving up the #10 pick and a future first does not worry me one bit. I believe Philly will become a destination for future free agents to actually want to go to. When Mike Trout comes here in a few years, this city will have superstars coming out of its asshole. Wentz, Trout  Embiid, Simmons, Leonard, Provy… the list of potential superstars this city is grooming is retarded.

Embiid, Saric, Leonard, Redick, Simmons……. that smells like a 55 win season to me and i didn’t even mention my favorite player, Jonah Bolden who is going to become an absolute UNIT on this team. Don’t know who he is? Go to youtube and look him up.
