Today, it was reported 200 rafters went floating down the Lehigh River starting in Lehigh Township, and 55 have been reported alive, do the math, there are 145 missing. Very very very sad story. BUT! I have no sympathy towards these 200 individuals that chose to go rafting today.

1-  It was not even nice out, it was overcast with the threat of thunderstorms all day and flash flood warnings…. but i guess nobody has a cell phone and can check about these things before venturing out for an all day adventure.

2-  If you took a glance at the Lehigh River this past weekend, it was scary, the river was rushing at rapid speeds, trees, branches and all sorts of debris caught in the current, it was dark brown,  only a certified IDIOT was even think “huh, maybe ill go rafting today.”

3- Rafting sucks. I know people might hate me for this take but, i can think of a million other fun things to do with my day than sit in an intertube, bake in the sun all day with no chance of shade, hold your phone in a plastic bag, drink beer all day and just wind up with a horrible headache from being in the sun, and just flat out being bored. I know thats not the case here but, you could think of more ways to have fun rather than rafting down a rapid moving river with some friends, sorry.

4- Where is the fucking common sense here? Does anyone have any anymore? Is the human race this fucking stupid? I sure as hell hope not. I hope everyone makes it out alive but when they all do, which im hoping for, i hope there is going to be a consequence.  All 200 of you need to be branded on your forehead the word “idiot” because thats what you are. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

This whole story is idiotic, these 200 rafters should be ashamed of themselves for putting their family, their friends, and most of all, the rescue efforts of everyone at the fire departments, police departments and beyond. Shame on you.
