Sixers Season Opener Pre-Game Notepad

on

Embiid+Baynes

I am going to try to blog about every game this year. Its Monday night and i can’t wait for tomorrow that i decided to do a pre-game blog because i can’t wait.

Sixers open the season tomorrow against the rival Boston Celtics in Boston. Here is a few things to keep an eye on.

1- Embiid Bully Ball

Joel Embiid has said this offseason he is going to play more of a “shaq-like” bully ball type of offensive outlook, which i love. He has shown it in preseason this year and it honestly looks unstoppable. Cant wait for Embiid to start counting the opposing centers fouls and pointing to the bench where they belong because nobody can guard him without hacking the shit out of him.

2- The Rotation

Rumors are that Fultz is going to be starting in place of JJ Redick. I am perfecting okay with that, Fultz needs to get some run with the starters because honestly that is the future. I think Redick will play more minutes per game than Fultz which i am also perfectly fine with, getting Fultz comfortable is the most important thing here and running him with the starters feeling the game out is going to work wonders.

I am not sure who is on the injury report and who is out for tomorrow at the moment but Muscala is questionable and i have doubts that he will play tomorrow, i really wanted to see him work with that 2nd unit. Its going to be interesting how Brett Brown is going to work Shamet, Johnson, TJ, Redick and maybe Kork into the mix tomorrow. Lots of question marks.

3- Jumpers

Are we going to see a Ben Simmons jumper, are we going to see a Fultz Hesi-pullup-jimbo, i sure as hell hope so because Sixers Twitter is like no other, over reactions to a missed 3 pointer from Fultz almost crashed my twitter app on the phone, i can’t imagine Ben Simmons knocking down a 20 footer, if he does that, i’m just going to declare the Sixers 2019 NBA Champions, thats it.

…… Tomorrow should be a fun one, Boston is reloaded with a healthy team this year, a lot of them taking on new roles this year with the additions of a healthy Kyrie and Gordon Hayward should be interesting to watch. Go Sixers #heretheycome

Heres a little clip to give you some goosebumps.

P.S…. i am officially retired from using the phrase “Trust The Process” please respect my privacy as i find a new slant.
