Listen, say all you want about the Sixers letting sharpshooter JJ Redick leave to go to the Pelicans where he will still look like a mentally slow 5th grader on defense, TJ securing the bag and signing with the Pacers, the decision of sociopath Jimmy Butler leaving to go grab an 8th seed for the rest of his career with the Heat, but the Sixers got astronomically better this year and if you can’t see that, you have a big dump in your pants.

Average Al Horford

I HAD a huge hatred for Average Al, not him as person but for the fact that he is the only player to consistently give Embiid problems. That problem is now sharing the court with PHILA across his chest instead of the babyshit green of the Boston Celtics, shoutout #CUsRise arguably the worst hashtag in the history of twitter. Horford brings a huge veteran presence to a team that somewhat needs it. The biggest plus of the signing is that Embiid can get load management rest and not have the Sixers look like the 10-72 Sixers when Embiid is out. I hereby say Thank you in advance to Mr. Average Al Horford.

Addition of J-Rich 2.0 and Rookie Matisse Thybulle 

Casual NBA fans like 98% of people who call into the local Philly sports talk radio have no clue how good Josh Richardson is. He gave the Sixers FITS everytime they played the heat. He is one of the best pick-and-roll defenders in the NBA. The Sixers were tortured by scoring guards since the beginning of the process and it was deja vu all over again last year, you just knew the 2 guard was most likely gonna pour in 30, it was a given. Having J Rich is going to stop that immediately, oh and he can shoot the 3. 3 and D players are a must of any NBA title contender, enter Josh Richardson…. que the Stone Cold Steve Austin glass break.

Matisse Thybulle was the best defender in the NBA draft this year. He is a fucking menace on defense. Yeah, he played mostly zone at Washington but his off ball instincts is something you can’t teach. Lets also add “lock down defender” to his attributes. Thybulle knows that his job, if he is going to play in crunch time is to shoot the 3 consistently. Expect to see a lot of him this year and get excited for this young man to continue to grow into an absolute savage in Philly. shoutout Thrillride.

 

Oh lets not forget that Ben Simmons is WET from 3, watch out NBA.
